The original Kuranda Scenic Railway is a spectacular train journey comprising of unsurpassed views of the World Heritage Listed rainforest, steep ravines, picturesque waterfalls within the Barron Gorge National Park. The famous railway winds its way from Cairns to Kuranda, the famous village in the rainforest. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway glides just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable gondola cabins. The journey to and from Kuranda immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you’ll enjoy the stunning rainforest scenery, panoramic views of the Cairns and the glittering waters of the Coral Sea. For the more adventures types White Water Rafting & Ballooning is a popular and fun activity you can enjoy just out of Cairns. White Water Rafting in North Queensland has the advantage of departures all year round and tropical water temperatures. Ballooning provides the ultimate advantage point to view picturesque scenery above Cairns.
